Ascentis offers a growing list of pre-built connectors from our HR solution to leading payroll providers. Our pre-built connectors are unified within our solutions so that you can monitor and manage your connector without any technical assistance. A Wizard-driven interface makes it easy to map and transfer data. Ascentis offers pre-built payroll connectors from Ascentis HR to several popular payroll systems

Financials

For organizations using the combination of Ascentis Payroll and Sage Intacct, we deliver a pre-built connector to pass General Ledger data via web services. Upon finishing a payroll cycle in Ascentis, the resulting GL journal entries are automatically sent to Intacct so that you don’t have to spend any time manually exporting and importing files.

You Build

Have a web services guru on staff? Our clients have programmatic access to their HR data so they can build their own connectors through a simple, predictable programming interface that supports JSON and XML. Developer support is also available with this option. Clients on Ascentis HR v8.3.1 or higher have the web API enabled by default. Clients can request an authentication key by contacting Ascentis Support.

When you outsource the integration process to us, we take care of all the technological and business requirements inherent in developing a strong integration. Below are the steps we take in order to build a connector.

Reviewing Data Import Specifications

Applications generally have criteria for data formats they accept. Reviewing these criteria can be a cumbersome task as the criteria is often times written for a technical audience. In addition, the reviewer must be familiar with the data structure in both applications and be able to identify areas of overlap. Our integration specialists have experience with this process and will work with you to make recommendations of which data sets to share between HR and other business applications.

Mapping and Transforming Data

Once the data to transfer from HR to the other application(s) are determined, it must be retrieved from HR and re-formatted to meet the other application’s data format requirements. We have built tools to allow us to easily retrieve data from HR, transform it to the import specifications of your business application, and map those values that do not directly correspond to each other.

Security Considerations

Because HR stores sensitive and confidential data, data security is of the utmost importance. Ascentis Hosted HR data resides in SSAE-16 (formerly SAS70 Type II) audited datacenters, ensuring that security and disaster recovery scenarios are identified and accounted for. We retrieve data across a secure (SSL) 128-bit encrypted connection, while performing the data re-formatting and mapping steps within our data centers. Once the data are ready for delivery, we ensure that it is delivered in a secure method.
