Human resources management system (HRMS)


A human resources management system (HRMS) offers employers an opportunity to streamline many of their day-to-day HR functions. Most modern HR departments automate at least some of their human capital management (HCM) processes using HRMS software. This HR software can assist HR professionals with managing everything from benefits administration to talent management to payroll processing tasks. HR management technology is also an excellent way to ensure data privacy compliance, as most functions can be accessed only by authorized users.

Note that HRMS systems are often confused with human resource information systems (HRIS). In fact, an HRIS is a specific type of HRMS, usually more tightly focused on data and processing of personal information.
