360 Degree Assessment

360-degree feedback processes, also referred to as 360-degree reviews or 360 assessments, are a powerful tool for evaluating employee performance by garnering feedback from everyone who regularly deals with the employee. 360 evaluators typically include not only supervisors but also colleagues and subordinates who evaluate an employee’s performance according to a rating scale.

Receiving feedback and performance appraisals from such a wide range of sources allows employees and managers to get a big-picture view of their strengths and weaknesses in the workplace. 360-degree assessments have become hugely popular with human resources departments from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies as a development tool for gauging employee progress in both the short and long terms.
