Ascentis Appoints Veteran Software CEO and Leader, Chris Heim to Board of Directors
Heim is best known for fostering employee engagement and empowerment through his extensive leadership roles. Most recently, Heim served as CEO of Eden Prairie-based software company, HelpSystems, where he more than doubled the company’s revenue during his tenure.
“Chris Heim is highly regarded and is an accomplished serial CEO known for his ability to drive growth, organically and through acquisitions, for technology companies in complex market segments,” said Brian Provost, CEO, Ascentis. “Since Summit Partners acquired Ascentis two years ago, we’ve grown rapidly, and made multiple acquisitions, including the purchase of leading workforce management solution, NOVAtime. Chris’ qualifications and insights will be tremendously valuable as Ascentis continues its mission to better serve our clients. We’re excited to have Chris as such an important part of our company.”
“Because of my CEO background in the Minneapolis tech community, I’ve had the opportunity to get to know Brian and work with the Summit team, and have tremendous respect for them,” said Heim. “I’m honored to be inducted onto the board of a company that prioritizes such incredible customer service and innovation within the workforce management and HCM solutions market. I look forward to being able to play a role at such an exemplary company.”
“We are thrilled to welcome Chris Heim to the Ascentis board,” added Peter Rottier, managing director, Summit Partners and board chair, Ascentis. “We have known Chris for many years and had the privilege of working together at HelpSystems. We’re confident that Chris’ operational and leadership experience will contribute to the continued growth and success at Ascentis.”
Heim has received many awards over his career, including being recognized as one of the Most Admired CEOs in 2018 by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal. He also proudly serves on other technology company boards, such as Calabrio, Field Nation and Digi.
