1 Basic: A basic link can only transfer data from
Ascentis HR to the payroll system. Payroll Connect will simply output a file that supports the payroll systems import specification.
Standard: A standard link can transfer data in two directions and is therefore considered bi-directional. Data may be transferred from
Ascentis HR to the payroll system, and from
the payroll system to Ascentis HR.
Advanced: The link can transfer data to and from the payroll system and also supports transferring state/local tax filing statuses and exemptions, direct deposit details, and importing paycheck data for display in the My Paycheck application in
Ascentis Employee Self Service.
2 Hosted
HR Support: Many of the links supported by
Ascentis HR are bi-directional and therefore read and write to the payroll system database. This functionality generally requires that the payroll system and
Ascentis HR be installed on the same network. For links that support
Ascentis Hosted HR (formerly HROfficeASP),
Ascentis HR and the payroll system may be installed on different networks and still read and write to the payroll system. For links that do not support
Ascentis Hosted HR, Ascentis HR and the payroll system must be installed on the same network.
3ADP Pay eXpert: The Payroll Connect link for ADP Pay eXpert should not be used if you are using ADP HR eXpert. When utilizing both ADP Pay eXpert and ADP HR eXpert, the fields required to create and update records via the import tool changes. For example, the Business Unit field (required by HR eXpert)will cause the Employee Transfer import to Pay eXpert to fail.
4Primepay PrimeLink+: Development for the PrimeLink+ has ceased. Support for this add-in will end on 12/31/2010.
