Whitepaper: Automating Benefits Management

What's new in Ascentis HR v8.3

Ascentis HR v8.3 helps your entire organization make better decisions. Ascentis HR v8.3 allows managers to gain immediate access to employee notes and attachments. Analytics such as headcount charts and salary range diagrams allow you to easily gain perspective over your organization. In addition, v8.3 allows you to have programmatic access to your company’s data using an easy, powerful and secure application programming interface (API). Read through the details below to discover how HR v8.3 can help your organization.

Manager self-service (MSS) Documents

Manager self-service documents allow HR staff to publish any employee related notes or documents to managers instantly. Tied into Ascentis’ role-based security model, managers can only view note or document type they are permitted to see. Give your managers more exposure to their employees’ performance through Notes and Attachments in MSS.

Analytics to help you gain perspective

Manager self-service now features two charts available to HR administrators(with many more to come in the future): employee headcount and salary ranges by organizational unit. Each chart can be configured to be viewed by organizational unit (dept/div/loc/job title) so that you can gain insight at any level of your company. In addition to these two charts, MSS now features a brand new Timeline view within the leave calendar.

Ascentis API

Ascentis HR is flexible enough to fit your organizational needs. But when your company’s complex processes are unsupported by existing features, Ascentis now offers an application programming interface (API). The Ascentis API offers advanced users and developers the ability to build custom processes by integrating third party systems with Ascentis HR. Our API can help you come up with solutions that fit your organization.

Other enhancements

Ascentis HR v8.3 also features major enhancements to the Quickstart Data Import utility, including support for Office 2010 files, the ability to import deduction frequency, dependent addresses, and beneficiary information and auto-assigning Employee IDs for new hires created through the data import. Additional enhancements include company level defaults for payroll directory/code, and updates to the employee profile report and system change report. These enhancements were all suggested by our users so please keep the great suggestions coming!
