Before the Live Webinar
Live webinar start times are noted on each and every email invitation and registration page, and are expressed in both U.S. pacific and eastern time zones. If you not in one of these time zones you must convert those times to your specific time zone as your webinar start time.
- Ensure the email address you registered with is spelled correctly.
- Check your “junk” or “spam” folder.
- Be sure to whitelist the domains “@gotowebinar.com” and “@ascentis.com”.
- Confirmation emails can take 1-24 hours to be delivered, so register as early as possible. Registration for a webinar up to an hour before its start time may delay your confirmation email receipt until after the webinar has already begun. If you need to register for a webinar close to its start time, please email email@example.com to confirm your registration, and to ask for secondary access to the webinar (aside from the confirmation email).
If you have completed all of these steps, but you have not received your confirmation email with 24 hours of registration, please email firstname.lastname@example.org for assistance.
If you are new to our webinar program, we highly recommend making sure that your system is GoToWebinar-ready and your system meets GoToWebinar’s requirements well before the live webinar program begins.
Should you experience any problems connecting to the webinar, please visit the GoToWebinar support page for assistance. Your company IT or systems administration department should be able to provide additional support. Ascentis cannot support or correct connectivity issues with the GoToWebinar platform.
In order to earn a RCH certificate for attending a live webinar, you must register for the webinar using a business-domain name email. When you receive your GoToWebinar confirmation email, it will contain a unique link to log in to the webinar. You must use that link to launch the live webinar because we track online attendance through these unique webinar links. Once the webinar begins, you must attend the entire 60-minute webinar from start to finish, without logging off of the webinar regardless of reason. Please note that your online attendance is tracked solely through this unique URL that launches the live presentation on your viewing screen. Attendance is not tracked through the use of the call-in line.
There are many technological factors in attending a live presentation, including your computer’s hardware, software and Internet connection. Due to the nature of online webinars through GoToWebinar, even if you have logged off accidentally, lost power, have Internet connection loss or bandwidth issues, GoToWebinar will note your attendance as having ended the moment your unique link is broken. If this happens, we will unfortunately not be able to provide you with RCH credit for attending whatever portion of the live webinar you have attended.
You may choose to re-watch the webinar from our on-demand webinars directory, once it’s posted there (it can take 2-3 days after live webinar completion for the on-demand version to appear). Our on-demand webinars are available for RCH certification as well.
If your team wants to earn RCH credits and watch the webinar as a group, we recommend that each person register for and watch the live presentation individually (so they can earn credit) and then the group can re-watch the on-demand version of the presentation together. This provides the opportunity to discuss processes and best-practices with your colleagues and determine what will work best for your organization moving forward. We have found most organizations following this recommendation have experienced a higher quality learning environment.
Your webinar confirmation email is unique to you and your registration data, and cannot and should not be shared with anyone else. If you wish to share webinar invitations with a colleague, simply forward them the email invitation you received from Ascentis OR send them a link to the registration page. That way when they register they will receive their own unique webinar confirmation email.
After the Live Webinar
Yes. All of our webinars will be available on our on-demand directory within 24-48 hours of its live presentation date. Our webinars all live in our on-demand directory until they have reached their expiry date.
We do not send email notifications indicating the amount of time an individual spends viewing a specific webinar. Once the program is approved certificates are sent to those attendees who have met attendance requirements no later than 30 calendar days after the date of the live webinar.
Once a live webinar is approved by the accrediting agency, and you have met certification requirements, certificates will be sent to the email address used at registration within 30 days of the original broadcast date.
If you believe you met our certification requirements, and 30 days have passed, please check your junk or spam folder as it may be caught in these email filters. Please be sure to whitelist “@ascentis.com” to ensure email deliverability.

To view the recorded presentation, fill out the form to launch the recording. You will find the slides for that webinar directly underneath the registration form, in PDF format.
If you neither take nor pass the test, we will email you about your test results (or lack of test activity) and ask you to take/retake the test within 14 calendar days. Please check your inbox or spam or junk folder for these communications.
If you have watched the complete recording without fast-forwarding, have taken the test, and you still have not received an emailed certificate within 30 days of those activities, please email firstname.lastname@example.org for further investigation.
For HRCI-approved webinars, HRCI requires that you watch the entire 60-minute presentation without fast-forwarding through the recording. If you have watched the complete recording without fast-forwarding and you still have not received an emailed certificate within 30 days of those activities, please email email@example.com for further investigation.
Once you have met the requirements of the accrediting agency for any webinar, a certificate will be emailed to the email address you used to register for the on-demand program, within 30 days of completion of the program requirements.
HRCI-approved for credit webinars expire on 12/31 during the calendar year in which they were presented. Each individual webinar registration page notes its specific expiration date.
Ascentis’ on-demand webinar recordings live in “iframes” within the webpage. Some companies disable Web browsers from displaying iframes (often within Internet Explorer). Your IT or systems administrator should be able to resolve this issue for you. Alternately, you may try viewing the webpage in different browsers, such as Chrome or Firefox, as these browsers do not typically block iframes from loading. If you continue to have difficulty, please contact your IT or systems administrator for assistance.
To ensure we have available webinar seats open for people who wish to attend (there is a maximum number that the system will allow to register), we must require all attendees use a business-domain email address.
If you do not have a business-domain email address, please ask a friend, family member or colleague to allow you to register yourself using their business-domain email address (and your name and other required information) and forward to you any webinar confirmations and earned certificates. Once you have a business-domain email address, you can give us your updated information and we’ll send your future webinar invitations to that email address.
If you would like your accreditation certificate sent to an email address that is different from the one you registered with, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will forward the certificate.
All Ascentis educational webinars are submitted for RCH accreditation based on their content. In most cases, a webinar will be submitted for credit to either the APA or HRCI. However, there are occasions when our educational webinar content is appropriate for both a payroll and an HR audience – typically these presentations are on government regulations and compliance. We are very careful to note on every live webinar invitation, registration page, and on-demand webinar registration page, which accrediting agency the program has been approved by (or submitted to).
Once approved, they will provide you with instructions on next steps for noting their approval for this webinar during your recertification paperwork submittal process. The APA will not provide Ascentis with a program code for your unique approval for this webinar and therefore we cannot provide you with an APA approved certificate. Your digital communication from the APA will be your documentation.

In order to properly serve you, we recommend that you keep a list of all the webinars that you have attended. However, we are aware that there will be times when an attendee may request that we audit their specific attendance across our entire webinar curriculum, and we’re happy to provide this data. Due to the level of investigation this requires this attendance audit can take up to 21 calendar days.
There are several ways to share a program. To share a live webinar invitation with a colleague, simply forward the email invitation you initially received from us (not your webinar confirmation). Your information is not pre-populated when they click the “register” button on that invitation. In addition, you can also send a link to the registration page of any particular live webinar (before its broadcast) by simply copying/pasting the link into any email you wish to send to one or more colleagues.
Or, if you wish, you can simply use the sharing buttons built into the bottom of the form on each live or on-demand registration page. You can share these pages through any email platform, or even on any social network option within the sharing buttons.
Please make a note of when you took the webinars and contact us within 30 days of the webinar start date. We will forward the earned certificate to your new email address.
We can forward your certificates to a personal email address until you have a new business-domain name based email. While you are between employers you can still continue earning credits by using a colleague, friend or family member’s business domain-based email address (with their permission) until you have a new email address.
Just register your boss for an upcoming live webinar using their name and email address OR register them to receive the Ascentis monthly newsletter. Either of these will automatically include him/her on all future webinar email invitations.
